  23. Roughly the same thing happened to me. My girlfriend is getting rather 
  24. tired of me buying what I consider the latest cool game platform 
  25. (Genesis -> 3DO -> Jaguar -> +32X -> Saturn) and when I mentioned that
  26. ANOTHER system may be out soon (the PS-X) she made the comment
  27. "but I can't even tell the difference between the Saturn and 
  28. the 3DO. Is it really that much better?"

  30. Obviously it's not that much better. I just didn't realize it 
  31. until she mentioned it to me. I'm almost tempted to say
  32. stick with the 3DO if you already have one. The Saturn is 
  33. very cool, but the 3DO isn't any "worse" really. The only
  34. things that really need fixing is the load-game-off-CD time
  35. (which is MUCH worse than the saturn's) and the lack of REALLY
  36. good titles..except for Need for speed, which I really like, 
  37. I haven't found a really good 3DO game yet. But I hang on to it,
  38. in the hope that the existance of more advanced game platforms 
  39. out there will attract more developers to the advanced game 
  40. arena, and we'll see more really good 3DO games. NFS has shown me that
  41. it's possible.

  43. Anyway, the initial post is right, put a Saturn and 3DO (and PS-X?) in 
  44. a room and a non technical person won't be able to tell the difference.
